It’s a confusing time in the UK construction industry. The Mayor of London wants all construction sites to remain closed; the Prime Minister says they can open again. England has lifted most lockdown restrictions but Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have not.
How can we deliver construction projects while obeying social distancing rules? Could Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) hold the key, via automation? Could MMC also help alleviate post-Brexit potential skills and labour shortages?
There is a moratorium on forfeiture for commercial
tenants: what implications does that hold for property investors? Then there is very little official guidance about construction post-coronavirus – even The UK Government’s COVID-19 recovery strategy mentions construction only once in 60 pages.
The 2020 Construction Forum in the UK organised by PBLINK comes at just the right time. The 4-hour Zoom webinar is the perfect opportunity to network and discuss the current situation and the future with fellow construction industry professionals as well as to hear from experts in fields such as: Major Construction Projects; Construction Law; Procurement; Bidding; and Project
Management.
The morning Discussion Panel will concentrate on the central theme of the Forum: What Are We Going to Build in the Future? After a Q&A session and an opportunity to network, we have a short break before a series of workshops to take us into the afternoon.
PBLINK’s mission is to promote Polish Construction Firms in the UK, but also build a platform for all, helping to create opportunities, collaborations and discussions so we can move forward our business.
Hope you can join us
"We estimate that a third of Polish sole traders in the UK are connected with Construction work or
depend on that industry. Polish builders in Britain have established an enviable reputation for quality,
value for money and solid workmanship, making a valuable contribution to UK GDP."
Michael Deminski, British Polish Chamber of Commerce

DISCUSSION PANEL: WHAT ARE WE GOING TO BUILD IN THE FUTURE?
MMC, Social Distancing & post-Brexit Skills Shortages
Now there are new questions to address, such as how to build using social distancing rules? Will
MMC (Modern Methods of Construction), emerge as one of the answers? If the Construction Industry digitalizes to deliver projects more efficiently, could robots address any post-Brexit skills and labour shortages, as well as facilitate social distancing rules on site? What are the future jobs in construction? Finally, what are we going to build and how? Our industry experts will discuss these questions at the morning Discussion Panel.
